As many of you know, I am smoothie-obsessed! I drink one every day; sometimes two a day. I use Juice Plus Complete as my vegan protein powder. It already contains many superfoods, so I don’t feel like I have to add extra, but I am me, so I do!
I love to add Brazil nuts to my peanut butter smoothies. Brazil nuts are the number one food source for the mineral selenium. Only two nuts a day fulfills our daily requirement. Selenium is crucial for many body functions, from stabilizing our moods to fighting inflammation.
This recipe couldn’t be any easier, and the results are delicious. Who doesn’t want to drink a chocolate peanut butter shake for breakfast?!
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup plant based milk (I love Silk unsweetened vanilla almond milk.)
- 1 scoop chocolate Juice Plus Complete protein
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 tb PB2
- 1 tb peanut butter
- 3-4 ice cubes
Directions
- Place all the ingredients into your blender and blend up!
I love to top mine with one of my home-made raw balls. Let me know if you want that recipe, too!
Here is a silly video of my son and me making this smoothie:
